My Story
“Coming from Pacific Islander heritage I grew up playing rugby. So when I had the opportunity to play for the Navy, I jumped at the chance. Since then it’s grown. Through women’s rugby I’ve been able to mentor young sailors on and off the field. That is something I never expected to do in my career. We formed a sort of sisterhood within rugby, looking after each other. It’s helped them realise that regardless of rank or where you are, you can ask for help. And those relationships, they last forever.”
Enjoy a supportive workplace
The Navy provides a nurturing environment where mentoring is encouraged. Passing your knowledge on to others is one of the many rewards of service.
