My Story
“I grew up in the land of ice and snow, but it wasn’t until I moved to Australia that I learnt to ski. After joining the Navy, I joined the ski team. I was terrible at first but I stayed committed. Eventually I became good enough to compete on the International Defence team. We went to Austria where I trained on giant slalom skis. I went over 100 kph for the first time but all I could hear was the snow crunching under my skis. It was a surreal feeling.”
