Aviation
IN BRIEF
Helicopters are critical to Navy operations, delivering supplies, personnel, resources, and defensive capability. Our Pilots fly sophisticated aircraft such as the MRH-90 and MH-60R Seahawk, and are complemented in the cockpit by Maritime Aviation Warfare Officers who oversee navigation and weapon systems.
These teams are supported by talented technicians and engineers who fulfil varied and rewarding roles, ensuring the helicopters are expertly maintained and ready for service.
World-class training
Helicopter Pilots are paid to learn to fly - which is something you'd rarely encounter outside the Services - and gain their helicopter wings after roughly 88 weeks. Technicians and Engineers receive world-class training in their specialisation, and work with the latest tools and technology in well-equipped workshops and hangars.
All Navy personnel enjoy ongoing personal and professional development, and are encouraged to fulfil their potential in everything they do.
